BARNABÁS TÓTH

Two-time Oscar shortlisted Hungarian screenwriter, director and producer. His second feature "Those Who Remained" (2019) premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and was shortlisted in Best International Film Category for the Oscars in 2020. His latest short film "Chuchotage" (2018) has been shortlisted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the 91th Oscars in 2019. His short film "My Guide" (2013) has been viewed by over 1,5 million times on Vimeo within a week making it one of the most successful short films ever made in Hungary. His third film "Mastergame" (2023), a psycholgical thriller set in 1956 gained international acclaim through film festivals and worldwide distribution.
Between 2003 and 2023 Barnabás had been a founding member of "Momentán", Hungary's first and still most successful Improv Theater company.
Since 2019 he's been teaching film directing and creative writing for Hungarian and International students at Eötvös Lóránt University, Budapest.

Although he has 20+ original and adapted projects for the screen in his drawer, he reads every proposed script and is open to direct "other people's stuff".
